Tasting notes
Good bright red. Enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, leather, chocolate and flowers. Plush and sweet, with lovely spicy lift and energy to the red fruit flavors. Not a big wine but ripe, seamless and suave. Finishes with late notes of wild strawberry and leather.

Very ripe, musky aromas of lime, menthol and licorice. Fat, ripe and fruit-driven, with a slightly exotic aspect to the peachy flavor. Finishes with a palate-dusting impression of tannin.
From a blind tasting of more than 60 white burgundies submitted to British Airways for serving in their First Class cabin from August 2008 until August 2009 Nice balance and interest and absolutely ready to drink. Complete and a nice mix between old and new styles of white burgundy. Though no great potential for greater complexity, I suspect. Coarser than the Chanson Beaune Bastion? (JR)
Cask sample. Medium-deep greyish garnet. Restrained spice, pretty red fruit and delicate tannins. (JH)
